Leslie began making diary entries when she first found out she had a brain tumor, but before the diagnosis was definitive. She made two series of entries. The first spanned the period up until a few days after her surgery. The second period includes entries almost daily from June 14th, 2014 through October 30th, 2014. I don’t know why she stopped at that point, but I could not find any entries beyond that date. After giving some thought to whether or not I should post these entries I concluded that Leslie would want her friends and family to be able to continue to know her through her writing, and to be reminded of her strength, her spirit, and her love in the way she fought against this disease, yet accepted it without self pity or resentment. I think there is much to be learned from reading Leslie’s reflections and comments.
